Many of our fellow players are experiencing difficult physical challenges at this time.  The Angels in the Outfield do our best to keep up.  There are situations now that could be posted, but in keeping with our policy, we will not post until we have the permission of the ball player or family.  Look for updates soon.  In the mean time, please keep all of your fellow players and their families in your thoughts and prayers. Each day is a gift.  That's why it is called the Present.

Bob Renberg has an appointment for an angiogram on Monday, 11/9 and likely will add to the substantial number of stents he already has!  All our best to you, Bob.

Dave Bergmann is recovering from his stent placement on 11/7/09.  He was well enough to come to the hospital to visit Mike Graham on 11/8.

Mike Graham update 11/9: The liver and pancreas are feeling much better.  Unfortunately, Mike is not.  Still a high white count so infection somewhere that isn't responding to the antibiotics very well. The docs are being very thorough so it is just a matter of time before the correct combination is found and Mikey can come back.  He is feeling well enough today to be irritated about being where he is. He is at Thunderbird Hospital room B45 Lower Level until at least Tuesday.

Mike Graham has returned to the hospital to have more extraneous stuff removed from his body.  This time it was in the form of a 2 inch abscess on his liver that needed to be drained  YUCK!!.  In addition, by the time his body told anyone he was sick, he was suffering mild sepsis.  He says he is running out of disposable body parts.  Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.

It has been reported to the Angels that several players are already sitting out to rest pulled muscles, etc.  Please remember slow starts and stops and your stretches.  And despite what you might think, the world will continue to spin if you don't beat out the throw to first.  Besides that, you will likely still be able to play the next game instead of sitting with the peanut gallery!
