Returning to Softball following the long summer allows us to re-connect with friends we haven't seen for months. However, it is inevitable that time has brought about situations that cause some to step aside from the game, at least for a while. We hope that those who are unable to compete on the field will still come and enjoy the friendship and join the peanut gallery.

Please feel free to check out the Bulletin Archives to catch up on past notices.

John Albee has removed himself from the Rosie's team for this session as he plans for an upcoming surgery. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Barb Latzo, wife of Bobby Latzo, has been diagnosed with mouth cancer.  After a very hectic and scary couple of weeks, it is believed that the cancer is contained in the base of the mouth and is operable. Barb and Bobby will be able to take the cruise in the coming weeks that they have been so looking forward to. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Mel Shirey will be sitting out this session due to plantar fasciitis, a very painful foot problem. He is hoping that by cutting back on activities and letting his feet rest, he can participate again eventually.

Jim Reimold, underwent minor outpatient surgery today and is recovering at home. Sheri says he is quiet, which led some to ask if he had a volume control installed during the surgery.  Seriously, Jimmy, speedy recovery to you!

Mike Graham has been scheduled for his next and hopefully last surgery for Oct. 22nd.  Unlike Humpty Dumpty, he will be put back together again!  Following a 6-8 week recovery, he will be ready to play ball again and no doubt challenging Steve Ibey for the "Pigpen" award.

Reminder to returning ball players:

Many of you may be returning to swinging the bat and chasing balls after putting the game aside 3 or 4 months ago.  Remember to warm up, do your stretches and no fast starts!
