The opening day of the Spring Session brought much news for the Angels in the Outfield. Please keep your teammates in your thoughts and prayers:
Father of Keith Urbain passed away January 15. More info when it is available.
Mother-in -law of Bill Buxton passed away over the weekend. Bill will be travelling to Bisbee over the weekend for a memorial service.
Mother-in -law of Garmon Sowers passed away over the weekend.
Daughter of Steve Letko: Many of you may be aware that Steve Letko's daughter Nancy has been fighting cancerous brain tumors for some time. She passed away January 11th. Our thoughts and prayers are with Steve and his family.
Correction: Cleo Valdiserri, father of Wayne, passed away suddenly on January 11th( not the 9th as previously reported). Cleo, with his wit and dashing figure, will be greatly missed in the Peanut Gallery and as the 12th man on the field. Services are planned in Pennsylvania.

Bob Check has been hospitalized with intestinal blockage. His condition is reported as improving.
Jim Keinath had a rather rough weekend, experiencing a kidney stone. However, by Tuesday, the stone had passed and he was at the field, looking ready for play.
Frank Welch put in an appearance at the field also, modeling the aftereffects of a horrific collision with Gary Green last week. He was smiling and the swelling is down, but the ability to chew is still a ways off. Gary, on the other hand, was back on the field, sore shoulder and all.
Reminder: When there is a play on a fly ball, make sure if you are going for the ball to YELL "I GOT IT" over and over. The infielders can help by calling out the likely catcher's name as well. If you think you might be getting close to a collision, stop and let it drop. Better than you dropping. Be safe out there.
Joe DePhillips: It has been reported that Joe has been hospitalized and is in intensive care. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. More info when available.
