Keith Dunlap suffered a head wound when he lots track of a ball in the sun during practice Monday morning.  Keith was transported to the hospital where he got some stitches and a ct scan which was clear.  Keith spent Tuesday morning getting new glasses.  He says he is doing well and will be back shortly to play.

Tom Sgro  was hit in the forehead by a pop-up during a game on Tuesday morning.  He was also transferred to the hospital for treatment. He has a big not on his head and a really black, swollen eye, but expects to be back soon to play.

Art Nelson underwent arthroscopic knee surgery 01/12.  The clean-up turned out to be a bit more than was planned.  In addition to the cartilage mess, he also had some ligament damage. The doc says to expect an 8 week recovery timeframe. No weight on the leg for now. The pain is less today than yesterday though, so that is a good thing.

Mike Hester is awaiting a date with the surgeon to repair his knee.

Roger Pribnow is awaiting his date with a surgeon to repair his shoulder/rotator cuff.

Joan Rabbot, wife of Jim Rabbot, had a heart attack on 01/10/10 and required a double-bypass.  She and Jim had a great time dancing at Joe Gallo's show on Friday night with no real symptoms.  A second surgery was required Saturday night, but all appears to be going well with the heart now.  Jim says she has rosie cheeks again!  Daughter, granddaughter and great-granddaughter are in town to take turns at the hospital.  All our best to Jim and his family.

Important Reminder

If a player is seriously injured at the field, especially a head injury, call 911 and wait for the EMT's.  Do not transport the person yourself.  You will not be charged for an ambulance unless you agree to be transported.
